By keeping production local, we not only ensure control of our quality, but of just about everything else. We’ve been around for more than three decades and we continue to innovate: if a fabric isn’t good enough, we make a new one; if the technology doesn’t exist to manufacture the way we want, we invent it. But on the other hand, if something isn’t broken, we don’t mess with it!

At One Planet we make outdoor gear with integrity, using quality materials, excellent design and construction. You won’t find excessive pockets, irrelevant features, inappropriate materials or construction; just well-made, clean and simple designs that work. Anyone can produce a cheap, throwaway product: we proudly service our gear and get a real buzz from seeing products still in use after decades of abuse.

We take extraordinary steps to guarantee the quality of our gear. From flying ‘down inspectors’ around the world to repairing the rucksack a pesky rodent ate, we care about what we make. Our reputation – and your comfort – depends on it.

We start with excellent materials, then make them into fantastic, robust products using solid, proven construction methods. We’ve been making gear for more than 30 years and we know what works: shortcuts and cop outs aren’t allowed.

Our approach can be seen not only in our products, but also in our team. One Planet has a very low staff turnover, with many employees having been with us for more than a decade. And it’s not only the pleasant working environment and sunny dispositions that keep people here: we have mandatory tea breaks (they keep everyone happy and reduce overuse injuries); supply healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch for all workers; and look after the environment within the factory (no hazardous materials, good lighting and airflow), as well as reducing our overall impact on the planet.
