The expansion lid on some One Planet packs increases the capacity of the pack by up to 10 litres. Loosen the 3 webbing straps at the rear of the lid and pull the lid upwards.

The internal throat of the pack can then be fully used to greater capacity. This feature, however, is intended for emergency use only as the weatherproofing of the pack is somewhat compromised when the hood is in this position.
