Body shapes vary dramatically: just compare a catwalk model to your mum. (Or perhaps, for the sake of family harmony, you’d better not…) However, this huge variation is not reflected in harness design: harnesses generally only come in a few sizes, modelled on the average. It’s a bit like shoes  only being available in small, medium and large fits, rather than the 20-odd sizes, different widths and lasts needed to fit everybody comfortably.

To combat this problem, the One Planet Exact Fit harness (made up of the hipbelt and shoulder straps) is now available in up to eight fits, with four male and four female fits available in three back lengths. The women’s harnesses feature specially sculpted hipbelts and shoulder straps to better match the female form. So whether you’re shaped like Elle Macpherson or your mum, with a One Planet rucksack you’ll get a comfortable fit.

All One Planet dealers are trained in measuring and fitting our harness systems, enabling an Exact Fit. Even with eight fits available, our harnesses won’t fit every body. If you’re one of the special ones, custom fitting is available. We can mix-and-match harness components and add them to a current pack to give a perfect fit.
