There is much discussion in backpacking circles at present regarding lightweight packs.

We believe many of the imported super light packs are not designed for the rigors of the Australian bush, our high UV environment is very harsh on Nylon , it is for these reasons we have chosen to only use canvas fabrics in our ruck sack range. Our light weight ruck sacks, the WBA, Shadow and Umbra all use the unique 200gsm canvas that has been developed and made here in Australia for our pack range

The 200gms Canvas (we are yet to come up with a fancy name) is designed to have superior UV and water resistance and to compete with  our European and American buddies who are nylon obsessed.
