Wangi overpants are a simple, well featured garment, designed to be comfortable, durable and offer excellent protection from the elements. Cut-away heel areas and reinforcing in the gaiter cuffs reduces the stress on these hard-wear areas. A low-profile belt buckle ensures the pants are comfortable when worn under a pack's hipbelt, while the use of a small amount of elastic allows them to pulled up and down without adjusting the buckle each time. Thanks to the knee-length zips, the pants can be put on easily even when wearing the biggest, dirtiest ski boots. Originally developed for the Australian Defence Force, the overpants' fabric is manufactured in Australia using high tenacity polyester laminated to a PTFE waterproof/breathable membrane.
