The Gunyah 1v is designed for one-person. It's got vestibule space for dumping a pack and enough head and foot room for the lanky, even when sitting up. A large, high-opening door helps the poor old back when entering and leaving the tent, as well as giving great ventilation on balmy summer nights. The tent weighs approximately 1.1 kilograms (complete with stuff sack). If you wish to increase the life of the floor, add the footprint (0.18kg): it also makes a great groundsheet for lunch stops.
The pitching options are plenty:
- Full tent (inner and fly): approximately 1.1 kilograms
- Full tent with footprint floor protection: approximately 1.30 kilograms
- For hot, mozzie-infested areas use the mesh inner (inner tent, pole, pegs): approximately 0.73 kilograms
- For fly only (fly, poles, pegs, footprint): approximately 0.85 kilograms
If carrying a heavy tent is not your idea of fun, then the Gunyah is your cup of tea.
