We believe the harness is the most important part of a backpack. Without a strong, comfortable harness, you might as well buy a suitcase. Accordingly, here at One Planet, we have focused more than a decade of continuous improvement on the Exact Fit harness system.

The preferred load carrying point of the body is the hips not the spine. The Exact Fit harness system transfers load to key areas of the body through precise control over the relationship between back length, shoulder straps and hip belt. All of these are easily adjustable while the pack is on your back.

Weight in the upper section of the pack is stabilised and balanced by the shoulder straps when correctly positioned. The Exact Fit harness system enables the user to precisely adjust the length from the hips to the shoulders to ensure correct shoulder strap positioning.

The Exact Fit harness system allows adjustment to be easily carried out whilst the pack is on your back. This is far simpler than other packs which need to be adjusted by a fiddly process on the ground.

The shaped hipbelt using the 2:1 mechanical advantage adjustment ystem, ensures a snug load bearing fit with minimal adjustment effort.

The Exact Fit Plus harness system uses an extra heavy duty load bearing hip belt to prevent hip belt foam distortion even with the heaviest of loads.

Unique bottle storage pockets are located behind and above the Exact Fit Plus hipbelt, as shown above. This is the optimum load carrying position and it allows easy access to your drink supply.
When using the latest bottle hydration units (bottles with hoses) in these pockets, you have "on the go" drink availability, ease of refilling and easy to see fluid levels

Construction:
The shoulder strap construction combines a high density EVA foam laminated with breathable rot inhibited open cell foam and a hard wearing 500gsm air mesh in the body contact areas. Both the hip belt and shoulder strap foam have been specified for hot Australian conditions. Excessive heat can affect the structure of close cell foam; combined with pressure can permanently damage its ability to recover from compression.

Exact Fit harness is designed to be comfortable with loads between 10 to 25kg.  Loads in excess of this may be carried with a sacrifice of comfort - we recommend the Exact Fit Plus for these occassions.
